Members and non-members of the SA-ACC may apply for their Angolan visas through the Chamber provided that they are resident in South Africa.
Applications should reach the Chamber offices before 10:00 on Mondays for collection as stated below.
Please be advised that the Angolan Embassy is strictly enforcing ALL visa application procedures, and no exceptions will be made.
If you don't comply with the regulations, the visa application will be declined.

Please deliver the following documents to the Chamber at the address below:
- Completed and signed visa application form.
- Valid passport with three consecutive empty pages.
- Two original passport-size photographs in colour.

A letter from your employer: On a company letterhead indicating that you (name, passport no, expiry date) are an employee of the
company and that you are traveling to Angola on business. This letter should also state that the company will cover all costs
incurred on the trip. Please note that the letter should be addressed to the Embassy of Angola (Consular section) in Pretoria,
and not to any other Angolan diplomatic or consular mission.

- All applicants require a valid yellow fever immunisation certificate to enter the country – the certificate will be inspected upon arrival in Luanda.
- Non-citizens must provide proof of residence in South Africa (usually by means of an appropriate South African stamp in your passport).
NOTE: The ordinary single entry visa is valid for 60 days from the date of issue, and 30 days once you arrive in Angola.

Please provide the deposit slip or proof of payment together with your application or upon collection. Alternatively send a cheque for the full
amount with your application. The Chamber will provide you with an invoice for the full amount and a receipt upon inquiry.

Arrange for your passport to be collected:
Passports can usually but not always be collected after 09:00 the following Monday. This depends on whether or not the Embassy has processed your application. If you require your passport to be delivered to you by courier, please attach instructions for delivery and payment thereof together with your application. Do not confirm your flight arrangements and appointments until you have your visa in hand. Count on a two week processing time.
Multiple Entry Visa:
- The Embassy no longer issues Multiple Entry Visas.
Urgent Visas:
- Contact Malaquias Baptista at the Chamber to arrange an Emergency Visa.
- If the visa can be arranged, it will take 3 working days.

The costs of the Urgent Visa are as follows:

NOTE:This is not the preferred method for Visa applications, and should be used only in cases of emergency, as the as the Embassy cannot guarantee time of delivery.
Working Visa:
- The working visa is valid for one year.

Additional Documents required by the embassy:
- Passport copies of all the pages in the passport and the passport must not expire within one year.
- 6 original passport-size photographs in colour.
- Recent police clearance certificate.
- Medical certificate stating that you fit to work (from your local doctor).
- HIV certificate.
- Short one page CV.
- Certified copies of diplomas/certificate.
- Copy of yellow fever vaccination card.
- Declaration to abide Angolan laws.
- Work contract between Angolan company and employee.
- Legal company documents of the Angolan company who is employing.
- Invitation letters on the Angolan company letterheads.
- Completed application form from the embassy .
- Approval by the relevant authority in Luanda approving work visa before it is submitted to embassy in SA.
- If a previous work visa was issued, this has to be cancelled by previous company to DEFA and attach letter to prove it.
- All documents must be translated into Portuguese and authenticated by the Dept of Home Affairs.
